Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Room Assignments

The first round of contracts will be mailed out to those students who turn in their application for housing along with their $25.00 application fee by February 21st. After February 21st, contracts are mailed once a month. Students are placed in residence halls based on contract date. In other words, if one student returned their contract by February 29th and another student returned their contract on March 5th, the February 29th student would be housed first.

Tips for getting in the hall of your choice and getting the roommate of your choice:

The Office Of Residence Life will complete the room assignment process during the summer months and will mail a letter informing you of your hall assignment and room number as well as your roommate's name and phone number. As long as your application and application fee were turned in to the Office of Residence Life by June 1st, you will receive a room assignment letter by the 3rd week in June.

Remember that there is never a guarantee when it comes to hall choice or roommate preference. If you are placed in a hall that you are not satisfied with or did not get the roommate of your choice, you will have an opportunity for a room change after the 11th class day. Information regarding the dates and times for "Move-On-Days" will be posted in your residence hall.
