Housing Renewal
How It Works! Returning students wishing to reside on campus for the Fall of 2009 semester begin the process with their Fall 2009 intent form. Based on how the student completed that form, offers are made for either an apartment or contract. Apartment spaces are limited, so offers are base on Earned Credit Hours and Cumulative GPA.
Students then complete a housing contract with the Office of Residential Life and are assigned a Group Assignment Date and Time. For Fall 2009 all assignment will happen during the later afternoon / early evening hours. This Group Assignment is based on the students Earned Credit Hours and Cumulative GPA.
The student then comes in during the assigned date or time and selects their room and roommate. Should a student not be able to come in during their assigned date or time, they can come in any time after that time. Any student who cannot come in during any portion of their assigned date or time because of a college related event, such as an academic field trip or an away athletic game, may give a roommate or friend proxy privileges. The resident and the proxy must go together to the Office of Residential Life to fill out a Proxy Form. This form must be completed at least 24 hours in advance of the students Group Assignment Date and Time.
Students Wishing to sign up a roommate who has a later Group Assignment Date and Time can pull their roommate with them. However both roommates must come in at the same time to sign up for a room.
