Fifth Grade Camp is the longest running outdoor education program in Arkansas. It is a collaboration of TECH's Recreation and Park Administration Program and 5th graders from Russellville elementary schools. As part of the fifth grade curriculum, students spend 2 days at a residential camp outside Russellville studying the environment and enjoying outdoor educational activities.

Fifth Grade Camp began in 1970 at the Lake Sylvia Girl Scout Camp near Perryville and was based at Camp Ozark outside of Mount Ida for a number of years before moving to Camp Ferncliff in 2002. The second generation of campers, children of the first counselors and campers are now attending Fifth Grade Camp.
