Tech String Band to offer performance April 23

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (April 16, 2008)--Performances on guitar, fiddle, 12-string guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, electric guitar, mandolin and banjo will all be part of the show when the Arkansas Tech University String Band appears in concert on Wednesday, April 23.

            The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

            The nine-piece ensemble covers tunes by artists such as Alison Krauss and The Eagles. The group’s musical tastes include everything from new and traditional folk to classic rock to jazz and several other forms.

             Tech String Band members are Dolan Sanderson of London, Shanna Collins of Pottsville, Ryan Broadhurst of Benton, Ben Brisco of Harrison, Derrick Collier of Jessieville, Ryan Edmondson of Russellville, Joel Head of Lonoke, Brandon Riley of Dover and Jason Zhang of Shanghai, China.
