RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (January 28, 2008)---Jennifer Fleming, who has served on the Arkansas Tech University Office of Academic Affairs staff since 2004, has been promoted to the role of affirmative action officer for the university.
In her new role, Fleming is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the affirmative action program at Arkansas Tech in order to ensure that the university remains compliant with federal, state and local laws pertaining to non-discrimination and affirmative action.
Fleming is a 1994 graduate of Russellville High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from Arkansas Tech in 1998, and she attained the degree of Master of Science in college student personnel in 2004.
Fleming and her husband of nine years, Matt Fleming, have two children: Megan (6) and Kristen (3).
