Tech to host college planning program Sept. 27

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (August 22, 2007)--Arkansas Tech University’s Office of Admissions will host an Arkansas Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (ArkACRAO) College Planning Program on Thursday, Sept. 27, at John E. Tucker Coliseum.

            Representatives from universities, colleges, vocational-technical schools, military branches and financial institutions will be present to help prospective college students and their parents learn more about opportunities for post-secondary education.

            The morning session of the event will be from 9-11 a.m., while the evening session will last from 5:30-7 p.m. Shirley Goines, director of financial aid at Arkansas Tech, will host a financial aid and scholarship information meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Doc Bryan Student Services Building Room 242.

            High school students from Atkins, Booneville, Danville, Dardanelle, Dover, Fourche Valley, Hector, J.D. Leftwich in Magazine, Mountainburg, Mulberry, Nemo Vista, Oark, Ola, Ozark, Paris, Plainview-Rover, Pottsville, Russellville, Western Yell County and Wonderview have been invited to the event.
