Nomination & Application Process
Arkansas Tech University invites applications and nominations for the position of president. Founded in 1909, Arkansas Tech is a moderately selective, master's degree-granting institution located in Russellville, Ark., with a satellite campus 40 miles to the west in Ozark, Ark. Current enrollment at Arkansas Tech is 11,385 students.
The 12th president of Arkansas Tech will take office on or around July 1, 2014, and will succeed Dr. Robert C. Enrollment at Arkansas Tech has grown by 169 percent since 1997, and the university has established a new school record enrollment in each of the last 15 years. Annual degree production at Arkansas Tech has increased by 268 percent during Dr. Brown's tenure as president, and more than 60 new academic programs have been developed under his leadership.
An Arkansas Tech education is characterized by faculty members whose primary focus is on classroom instruction. Students may choose from more than 100 programs of study offered through seven colleges: Arts and Humanities, Business, Education, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Natural and Health Sciences, Professional Studies, and the Graduate College.
