Campus Recreation Expo

Join the Outdoor Rec department as we show off everything we have to offer over the fall semester and grab some free drinks and burgers! There will be slack lining and games!  

Disc Golf Tournament


Date: Sept. 5th Registration: August 26th - Sept - 4th Location: Old Post Park Recreation Area

Join Campus Recreation in an afternoon of Disc Golf fun out at Old Post Park!

Two Person Golf Scramble


Date: Sept. 12th. Registration: August 26th - Sept 10th Location: Russellville, AR

Grab a partner and join ATU Outdoor Recreation at the Russellville Country Club for a competitive golf scramble all expenses paid! 

Beginners Fly Fishing


Date: Sept. 19th Registration August 26th - Sept 17th. Location: Heber Springs, AR

Come join the Outdoor Rec department of Campus Recreation as we head to Heber Springs to visit our friends at Ozark Anglers. We will spend the morning with an experienced guide teaching how to cast, effective techniques, and popular places to fly-fish throughout the state. Once the tutorial is finished we will head to the Little Red River to try our luck!

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch Camp/Climb/Zipline


Date: Oct. 3rd-4th : Registration: Sept. 1st - Oct. 1st Location: Jasper, AR

Come to HCR to experience the largest zip-line in the state of Arkansas, grab some climbing shoes and try your hand at bouldering on the endless sandstone that Horseshoe Canyon Ranch has to offer. Not interested in climbing? There is a scenic disc golf course on the ranch! Then have a great night camping in such a beautiful area. A little something for everyone and all activities are free for Tech students! Don't wait spots will fill up fast!

Pedestal Rocks Hiking Trip


Date Oct 24th: Registration: Sept 20th - Oct 20th Location: Pelsor, AR

Join the Outdoor Rec department as we head to Pedestal Rocks in Ozark mountains. While hiking the trail, you will see layer upon layer of sediment that was deposited when the area was under water millions of years ago. After the water receded, the land raised to form a dome called the Ozark Plateau. Since then, natural erosion has been occurring to form the Ozark Mountains. On the trail, you will see unique formations, called pedestals that were formed by weathering. These are the featured destination of this area. Kings Bluff features a large flat bluff top with a waterfall that flows over the ledge.

Xtreme Paintball

Join the Outdoor Rec department as we head to Dover to Xtreme Paintball for a day of competition and fun!
