The Wall: Tech Climbing Preview Night! 


Date: September 3rd. Registration: Just show up!   Location: The Wall, 1605 North Phoenix Ave, Russellville, AR, 72811. Cost:  Free. Time of Departure: Join us at The Wall Climbing Center in Russellville from 5pm - 8pm for free climbing and a preview of all the fun outdoor adventures we have planned for you the student this Spring semester!! Located only a minute from campus we are happy to show off this awesome business to the Russellville area!  

Outdoor Recreation Expo!


Date: September 10th Registration: Just show up!  Location: Tree Island (Between Nutt Hall and Wilson Hall.) Cost: Free. Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm 

Come hangout with us for free food, games, and a chance to win some cool gear! Checkout what equipment we have to offer you the student and see what cool trips we have planned for the upcoming semester.

Beginners Fly-Fishing 


Date: September 13th  Registration: Aug 25th - Sept. 10th  Location: Heber Springs area, AR Cost: Free Departure: Tucker Coliseum @ 8:30am

Come join the Outdoor Rec department of Campus Recreation as we head to Heber Springs to visit our friends at Ozark Anglers. We will spend the morning with an experienced guide teaching how to cast, effective techniques, and popular places to fly-fish throughout the state. Once the tutorial is finished we will head to the Little Red River to try our luck!

2 Person Golf Scramble


Date:September 27th  Registration: Aug 17th - Sept 25th Location: Galla Creek Country Club, Potsville, AR Cost: Free Departure Time: 9:30 a.m.

Find a friend and compete in a 2-Man or 2-Woman golf scramble at 9:30 A.M. at Galla Creek Country Club on September 27. Free golf and Free burger's!

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch - Rock Climbing/Ziplining


Date: October 11th   Registration: Sept 6 - Oct 6th Location: Jasper, AR Cost: Free Departure Time: 9:00 am

Zipline at the largest zip in the state and grab some climbing gear and try your hand at climbing on the endless granite that Horseshoe Canyon Ranch has to offer. Not interested in climbing? There is a scenic disc golf course on the ranch! A little something for everyone and all activities are free for Tech students! Don't wait spots will fill up fast!

Overnight Camp/Hike the Ozark Highlands Trail


Date:  Oct 18th  Registration: Sept 12th - Oct 13th Location: The Ozark National Forest, Clarksville, Ar. Cost: Free Departure: 10 a.m. 

We will be heading out on the Ozark Trail for a two-day hike in the Ozark mountains. Your own tent & sleeping bag are needed for you to come along, we'll bring the s'mores! Experience more with Outdoor Rec!

We will depart from campus in Tech vans on Saturday October, 8 returning Sunday.

Hawksbill Crag Hiking Trip


Date: October 25th   Registration: Sept 20th - Oct 20th Location: Ponca, AR Cost: Free Departure Time: 8:30 am

This is a great hike for everyone and ends at one of the #1 photographed points and locations in Arkansas! Hawks Bill Crag is hundreds of feet tall and is amazing to explore and bring a picnic. The crag has been featured in many promotional publications throughout the state of Arkansas and the United States. Along the Hawksbill Crag trail you can see beautiful Ozarks scenery and a natural Ozarks forest, Arkansas wildflowers, Umbrella Magnolias and wonderful Arkansas fall colors during season.
