Q: What is New Student Orientation and how much does it cost?
A: New Student Orientation is a mandatory two-day program on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 that will help you transition into college and outline the university’s academic, social and developmental resources and opportunities. Orientation is mandatory for all new freshmen and an automatic fee will be added to your account.

A: Yes. Orientation is mandatory for all new incoming students.
Q: How do I register for orientation?
A: You will register for New Student Orientation during your summer registration/advising meeting in the Academic Advising Center. New Student Orientation will be on your fall class schedule as 1ATU.
Q: Why is New Student Orientation important?
A: New Student Orientation is important because it will give you an advantage to know more about campus before your classes begin, meet other incoming students, and answer any last minute questions.
Q: I’m a Transfer student, is there an Orientation for me?
A: Yes! Transfer Student Orientation is a mandatory 2-day program on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 that is specifically designed for transfer students. This program will give transfer students the necessary information and resources needed to be successful at Arkansas Tech. Registration for Transfer Orientation will be during your summer registration/advising meeting in the Academic Advising Center. Once registered, an automatic fee will be added to your account. Transfer Orientation will be on your fall class schedule as 2ATU.
