Trombonist Sean Reed has held positions in the Thailand Philharmonic, the Israeli Symphony Orchestra, Rishon LeZion, the East Texas Symphony Orchestra, the Austin Lyric Opera, the Spoleto-Italy Festival Orchestra, the Victoria Bach Festival, Brass-Arts Bangkok, the Brooklyn Brass Quintet and the NOVUS trombone quartet.
Reed has also performed with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the Siam Philharmonic, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Israeli Chamber Orchestra, the Austin Symphony, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Rene Fleming, Red Rodney, Duffey Jackson, Steve Houghton, Bob Mintzer, Marvin Stamm, Dave Steinmeyer, Doug Flutie, Frankie Vallie, Freddie Cole, Maria Sneider, Bobby McFerrin, Teo Macero, Bob Sneider, Tim Hagan, Randy Brecker, Joe Lovano, Lennie Picket, Alaria, Alarm Will Sound, and the Bangkok Brass Quintet. Reed has performed at the International Trombone Festival, the Eastern Trombone Workshop, the Kennedy Center and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
Reed holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music, a Master of Music degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
