Consortium

as the principal sponsors of the STARLAB Program

The Math & Science Institute now has TWO STARLAB portable planetariums available for loan to schools, if the school has faculty members that are trained in how to use and care for the equipment.  A loan fee of $100 qualifies a school to borrow the STARLAB up to 3 times (non-consecutive dates) for a total of 10 school days during an academic year (August - July).

Training sessions in the use of both the STARLAB Planetariums and the Solar Imaging Equipment can be arranged at any location around the state.

The cost of scheduling a training session at your location is $500 per day plus travel expenses.  Following the training of teachers at your school, Your school will be eligible for a school loan at no additional cost. The $100 loan fee will be waived for the school hosting the training.  For more information about this waiver, contact Steve Zimmer.

Occasionally training sessions will be offered at ATU.  Watch for them!  Trained teachers are encouraged to take part in additional training sessions to refine your skills and share what you have been doing in the STARLAB with others.

If you have questions concerning training sessions, please contact Steve Zimmer.

Space is limited to only 20 participants.  Please contact the MSI to reserve a place!
