ENGL 1023--Composition II (Writing about Literature)

Course Description

This one semester on-line course will introduce students to the major literary genres (poetry, fiction, drama) and will teach students how to analyze and respond to the works they read.This course is taught entirely on-line, though students may need to set up personal appointments or talk to the instructor by phone.

ENGL 1023 TC1 is recommended only for motivated students who feel comfortable using a computer and working on-line. This class is not intended to teach you how to use a computer or a browser.

Inevitably, there will be computer problems in a course of this nature. Students must be prepared to deal with those problems and turn in assignments in a timely manner.

Requirements

Students must have received a "C" or better in Composition I (ENGL 1013).

They must have a word processing program compatible with Microsoft Word. Please note that Microsoft Works causes problems, and should not be used.
