Transportation to Little Rock Airport, Summer Break 2010

Many of you will be traveling home during the summer break. As you begin to consider booking airline tickets, I would like to encourage you to book with the following information in mind:

  • Final exams are Wednesday, May 5 through Tuesday, May 11. You will have an examination in every class. Please do not ask your professors to allow you to take exams early so that you can go home early. These types of requests should only be made in emergency situations.
  • The graduation ceremony for spring 2010 graduates is Saturday, May 15, 2010.
  • Classes begin for the fall semester on Wednesday, August 25. The residence halls open on Monday, August 23, 2010, for all returning students. Please plan to make hotel accommodations or make plans to stay with a friend if you arrive earlier and live on-campus. You will not be allowed to move-in early. The Housing Office will send you more information about renewing your housing contract in a few weeks.

Arranging airport transportation is a service provided by the IMSSO. This is not a free service. I would encourage you to visit with your friends and try to book flights on the same days and times. However, we have found a new transportation company, Timmons Transport, with a great price! The price is $25 per person, no matter how many students are going…even if it’s just one student!

If you need the IMSSO to help you arrange transportation to and from the LR airport, please complete the attached form or come to the IMSSO to complete a request form. All forms are due to Sabrina Anwar by April 30, 2010. Students who do not submit the attached form will not be included in our transportation pickup lists.
