Arkansas Tech University – Career Center invites applications for the position of Full Time Drafting/Architecture/Engineering, Workforce Education Instructor. The Career Center is located on behind Russellville High School on Knoxville Avenue (Highway 7T) in the city of Russellville, Arkansas. This position includes instruction of high school students 10-12 grades in the areas of drafting, architecture, and engineering. A successful candidate must have strong communication and math skills and be familiar with MASTER CAM, AUTOCAD, AUTOCAD ARCHITECTURE, SOLID WORKS, ARCHICAD, Revit and software.
This position reports to the Director of the ATU Career Center under the direction
of the Chief Academic Officer ATU Ozark Campus and Area Superintendents. The Drafting
Instructor will be responsible for: student advisement, supervision of students,
serve on campus committees, program planning, student evaluation, student recruitment,
professional development, classroom and lab instruction, development of curriculum,
maintenance of classroom records, and communication with representatives in the field.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree and an ability to become a high school certified
technical instructor in Drafting and Design. 4 years experience in field.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor Degree, an Arkansas 7-PS Teacher Licensure with Licensure Codes 171 Day Trade, 189 Tech Permit, 575 Drafting and Design, and with a minimum two (2) or more years practice in the field with one (1) or more years in experience teaching. Salary $34,613. Excellent benefits package. Position start date: August 12, 2013.
