Arkansas Tech University – Career Center invites applications for the position of Full Time Construction Technology Workforce Education Instructor. The Career Center is located behind Russellville High School on Knoxville Avenue (Highway 7T) in the city of Russellville, Arkansas. This position includes instruction of high school students 10-12 grades in the area of construction technology. A successful candidate must have strong communication and math skills and be familiar with residential and commercial construction, electrical and plumbing.
This position reports to the Director of the ATU Career Center under the direction
of the Chief Academic Officer ATU Ozark Campus. The Construction Tech Instructor
will be responsible for: student advisement, supervision of students, serve on campus
committees, program planning, student evaluation, student recruitment, professional
development, classroom and lab instruction, development of curriculum, maintenance
of classroom records, budgeting and supervision of house construction, and communication
with representatives in the field.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree and /or an ability to become a high school
certified construction technology instructor (Licensure Codes 566 and 570). 4 years
experience in the construction field.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor Degree, an Arkansas 7-PS Teacher Licensure with Licensure Codes 566 and 570, OSHA and NCCER Certified (4) or more years practice in the field with one (1) or more years in experience teaching.
Salary begins at $34,613.00. Excellent benefits package. Position start date: January 21, 2013
