Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus invites applications for the position of Cardiovascular Technology Instructor / Program Chair.  The Ozark Campus is located on I-40 between Fort Smith and Russellville in the city of Ozark, Arkansas.  This position reports to the Chief Academic Officer on the Ozark Campus.  The Program Chair will instruct and direct the Associate of Applied Science degree in Cardiovascular Technology with emphasis in (non invasive) Adult Echocardiography.  The Program Chair of the Cardiovascular Technology Program will be responsible for the management and administration of the program and students to include:  planning, evaluation, budgeting, selection of faculty and staff, accreditation maintenance, a commitment to professional development, classroom and lab instruction, development of curriculum, maintenance of classroom records, advisement of students, service on campus committees, and communication with representatives in the field.
 
Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s level degree with a current RCS and/or RDCS credential and/or other designations in cardiac sonography necessary to work in the field as required by local, state and federal law, minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical scanning experience working in vascular sonography.  Five years in the field practice and experience in teaching and or administrative experience in a JRCCVT accredited program preferred.   Salary will be commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefits package.  Position start date:  April 1, 2013.
