Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department within the College of Education. The deadline for receipt of credentials is March 29, 2013.

Responsibilities:
Teaching undergraduate/graduate level courses in the school library media science /technology program.
Advisement of graduate students in the program.
Program development.
Service on academic committees.
Research and publication in relevant professional journals.
Outreach with professionals in the K-12 setting.
Required qualifications:
An earned master’s degree in library/information science or library media education.
Qualified to teach graduate level library media science classes.
Experience in working as a library media specialist in a K-12 setting.
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:
An earned doctorate (ABD considered) in library/information science, or educational technology or a master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA accredited institution.
Competence in educational technology.
Record of or potential for online/interactive instruction
Record of or potential for scholarly research and publication.
Higher education teaching experience in library media science classes.
ALA program reviewer or experience in writing ALA spa.
Record of or potential for teaching literacy or special education classes.
