Arkansas Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English beginning mid-August 2014. Ph.D. preferred, ABD required. Any area of specialization will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach 16th-18th-century British literature. Secondary specializations of interest include technical writing, film studies, TESOL, and world literatures. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to general education instruction, including composition. Arkansas Tech is a mid-sized liberal arts university emphasizing teaching (4/4 load) and undergraduate education. Graduate programs include M.A. in English, M.A. in TESOL, Master of Liberal Arts, and M.Ed. in English Education. Closing date is November 11, 2013.
