Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas invites applications for a full-time,
tenure track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Curriculum and
Instruction Department within the College of Education. The deadline for receipt of
credentials is January 24, 2014.
➢ Teaching undergraduate/graduate level courses in the school library media science /technology program.
➢ Advisement of graduate students in the program.
➢ Program development.
➢ Service on academic committees.
➢ Research and publication in relevant professional journals.
➢ Outreach with professionals in the K-12 setting.
➢ An earned master’s degree in library/information science or library media education.
➢ Qualified to teach graduate level library media science courses.
➢ Experience in working as a library media specialist in a K-12 setting.
➢ An earned doctorate (ABD considered) in library/information science, or educational technology or a master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA accredited institution.
➢ Competence in educational technology.
➢ Record of or potential for online/interactive instruction
➢ Record of or potential for scholarly research and publication.
➢ Higher education teaching experience in library media science courses.
➢ ALA program reviewer or experience in writing ALA spa.
➢ Record of or potential for teaching literacy or special education courses.
