The Center for Leadership and Learning at Arkansas Tech University is seeking applications
for a full-time, 9-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor
to begin August 1, 2013. The successful applicant will be innovative and responsible
for teaching in the Master of Education, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership degree
program. Students in this program prepare to become master teacher and curriculum
leaders. The successful applicant may also work with degree program students who
seek non-traditional teacher licensure. The successful candidate must have:
• a terminal degree, or significant progress towards completion of a terminal degree;
• five or more years teaching experience in P-12 schools;
• demonstrated experience in teacher leadership in P-12 setting;
• experience providing professional development to teachers
• experience with curriculum design and implementation
In addition, the candidate may meet the following preferred requirements:
• collaborative professional experiences (e.g. school partnerships, co-teaching, collaborative
planning);
• higher education experience;
• experience in curriculum leadership;
• in depth knowledge of adult learning
