Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus invites applications for the position of Coordinator
of Student Recruitment. The Ozark Campus is located on I-40 between Fort Smith and
Russellville in the city of Ozark. The Coordinator of Student Recruitment works under
the supervision of the Chief Student Officer and is responsible for planning and developing
strategies concerning student recruitment and conducting field visitations and campus
tours. This position is governed by institution policy. The Coordinator will visits
high schools, distributes and presents promotional materials, discusses campus information
with groups, counselors, students and parents, collects information needed from students
to answer inquiries concerning academic offerings and collects pertinent information
concerning visits. The Coordinator will also coordinate, schedule, and conduct tours
of buildings and grounds for visiting students, answers questions about campus, and
provides brochures relative to campus programs. The selected applicant will arrange
and conduct workshops, seminars, and conferences and advise students concerning curriculum
and career opportunities, assists in determining admission eligibility, and assists
in advising and registration. The Coordinator of Student Recruitment has frequent
contact with high school officials, students and university personnel.
Qualifications: The formal equivalent of an Associate’s Degree. Preferred: One year
experience in a higher education environment; knowledge of the higher education curriculum,
degree areas, campus life and activities and student aid programs; ability to coordinate
and conduct field visitations, campus tours, and seminars; ability to communicate
effectively orally and in writing.
Occasional travel and work beyond normal hours are required. Other job related education
and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon
approval of the Qualifications Review Committee. Candidates should possess knowledge
of the higher education curriculum, degree areas, campus life, and activities and
student aid programs. Salary will be $25,000 to $30,000. Position start date: March
