Course Descriptions



Political Science

The political science degree requires thirty nine additional semester hours beyond the General Education requirements.  In the General Education requirements, political science majors are required to  take the two-course sequence in American history, one of the two world civilization courses, and an introductory course in sociology, psychology or economics.  The thirty nine semester hours required for the political science degree include fifteen hours of introductory courses, the capstone writing course, and electives from each of the four political science blocks: research methods, political theory, international relations, and american politics.
