Dr. Buck T. Foster is currently a visiting assistant professor at the University of Central Arkansas.  His teaching specialties are Old South, American Military History, Arkansas History, and Historical Methods.  He was formerly with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, MS.  Dr. Foster is the author of Sherman's Mississippi Campaign, released in 2006, which won the Franklin D. Riley Prize for best dissertation on a Mississippi topic.  He has written several book reviews, completed articles, and spoken at many symposiums and organizational meetings about topics ranging from satellite imagery and historical evidence, the American Civil War, the Great Hot Springs Fire of 1913, and early settlers of Arkansas.  Dr. Foster has been an adjunct with Arkansas Tech since 2009.
