As one of the fastest-growing institutions of higher learning in Arkansas, Tech has dedicated itself to student learning and academic excellence. Gifts from alumni and friends enhance quality and assist in helping Tech to continue producing increasing numbers of outstanding graduates.

Every gift matters, regardless of its size. However you choose to give, your contributions play a critical role and the progress and success of the University.

By giving each year to the Tech Loyalty Fund, you make an immediate impact on students' educational experiences and increase Tech's ability to compete amongst its peers. Interest generated by your Scholarships can help sustain generations of students seeking to earn a college degree. Foundation Relations works to nurture the University's relationships with philanthropic foundations while Corporate Relations works to engage corporations in the University's research, education and public outreach mission.

There are a number of great ways to fulfill your philanthropic intentions.

Cash, Checks, Credit Card
Outright gifts of cash, by check or credit card, or by bank draft are the easiest and most direct way to give to Tech and are fully deductible for those who itemize on their federal income tax return. Tech also gratefully accepts pledges - gifts that are paid over time. There are several ways to make cash gifts:

Bank Draft

Corporate Matching Gifts

Faculty and Staff Payroll Deduction
An easy and convenient way for Tech faculty and staff to make their gifts is through payroll deduction. Employee donors may designate their contributions to one or more areas. Contributions to the Tech Foundation made through payroll deduction are tax-deductible when taxes are itemized. Participation by faculty and staff in the Tech Loyalty Fund is growing. In 2010-2011 Tech employee participation was 31%, a 9% increase over the previous year.

Gifts of Stock
Making a gift of appreciated securities and closely held stock to the Arkansas Tech Foundation is both economical and easy. You may receive and income-tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, as well as reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Dividends from stock are often low. This sometimes means that in addition to making an efficient gift, one that cost far less than the value donated, the donor does not have to sacrifice much income to make the gift.
