Ms. Elizabeth (Beth) Gray, Assistant Professor of Emergency Management. 

Ms. Gray first joined Tech as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2005.  In July 2011 Ms.  Gray was granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor.  Prior to joining Tech, Ms. Gray worked as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Mark Pryor on the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. 

Ms. Gray has taught a wide variety of courses and has developed the Legal Issues in Emergency Management course. She co-developed, and serves as the instructor for, the graduate Action Research Practicum.  She also served on the task force that developed the new Tech freshman orientation course, Tech 1001.  She served as the chair of three, and a member of seven, graduate thesis committees.  In the spring of 2010, Ms. Gray was awarded an undergraduate student research grant by the NASA EPSCoR Arkansas Space Grant Consortium, which led to a student presentation at the Eighteenth Arkansas Space Grant Symposium.  Ms. Gray has served on thirteen university committees including the HLC Self-Study Committee, the Faculty Senate, and the Tech Strategic Planning and Resource Council.  She serves as the Tech Department of Emergency Management representative for the Arkansas Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (AR-VOAD) and as co-chair of the Arkansas Community Volunteer Advisory Council (ACVAC).
