Mrs. Jackson earned a Masters of Counseling degree from Idaho State University and spent 7 years as a school counselor in Idaho.  After moving to Arkansas, she began a career as an Academic Advisor for ATU.  While working as an advisor, she also worked on completing her Masters of Science Degree in CSP at ATU.  Mrs. Jackson was one of the first adjunct instructors we had for our CSP undergraduate course (CSP 1013--Principles of Collegiate Success).  After teaching the course as an adjunct for several years, Mrs. Jackson joined the CSP faculty full-time and now coordinates the CSP 1013 program.  In her role as the CSP 1013 Coordinator, she oversees the staffing and training of student instructors for these classes and develops the teaching materials for the course.  In addition to teaching & coordinating the 1013 class, she also teaches as a visiting instructor for our graduate program.  She teaches our graduate counseling course, oversees some of our practicum courses, and has taught a few CSP elective courses.  She still continues her relationship with academic advising by serving as a faculty advisor for first-time students in the summers.

Her teaching and research interests are mainly focused on the needs and development of first  year students.  In addition, she is constantly looking for professional development and teaching strategies for master students.
