How do I connect to my on-campus computer from home or off-campus?

You must be running Windows XP as your operating system in order to access your computer remotely.  First, right-click on My Computer and Click Properties.  Choose the Remote tab.  Make sure the checkbox to Allow Remote Access is checked on the computer to which you will be connecting. 

Another thing to note:  Your on-campus computer must be booted up for you to access it remotely. 

Just type your computer name into the Remote Desktop application followed by ".atu.edu". For example, if my computer name is "rpl123-smith", then I would type in "rpl123-smith.atu.edu".
