Dr. Matt Stephen joined the CLL staff in the fall of 2011, and he is serving as the program director for educational leadership.
He began his teaching career at the high school level and served at the junior high and high school levels as a counselor. After twelve years as an elementary school principal, he served as an assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. Dr. Stephen earned his doctorate in educational leadership at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX, where he taught and directed school improvement initiatives at the university level.
Dr. Stephen's doctoral dissertation explored servant leadership as a successful leadership style for public school administrators, and he is currently expanding his research into the study of leadership that builds meaningful relationships among school stakeholders.
