Dr. Fang received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, with an emphasis in databases. He has held a variety of positions both in industry and academia, serving as a senior technical consultant for Rational Software Corporation, as Director of the Division of Technology for INFOCOMM International Co., and as instructor for BCIT and Kingston colleges, both in Vancouver, B.C. His primary areas of interest are Database systems, Data warehousing and Mining, Object-Oriented Technology, and Information System Development. Dr. Fang joined the Department August, 2001.
