Position: Horse Program Coordinator
Description: Responsible for developing and providing horse program opportunities and support systems that meet the needs of girls, including fall, spring and summer resident camp horseback riding program at Camp Crossed Arrows and/or additional horse programs to Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts at Camp Crossed Arrows; development of Girl Scout horseback riding instructor staff; promotion of herd maintenance and health through development of a horse care regimen specific to the herd, regular on-site visits and physical support and ongoing coordination and communication with the Camp Ranger and Property Director.

Knowledge and Abilities: •Adheres to, enforces, and assists in developing safety rules. Makes on-site visits to Camp Crossed Arrows in the scope of the job responsibilities:
May– July: once weekly
March-April and Sept-Oct: once every two weeks (horse weekend programming)
Winter months November-Feb: once monthly. Two on-site visits annually to facilitate training
High School Diploma
•Minimum 21 yrs. old,current CHA instructor certification or willingness to obtain CHA certification.
