Position: Mechanical Engineer Intern
Description: JW Aluminum is currently offering a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op position for summer/fall 2012 at our Russellville Arkansas manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities of this position include:
•The team member will assist with existing and new projects in design, equipment selection, installation, trouble-shooting and start-up phases.
•The team member will assist in the identification of process improvement opportunities and implementation of standard work which supports the overall company objective of becoming the “Leading Aluminum Rolled Products Company in the World”.
•The team member will help develop engineering solutions for day-to-day problems that occur in plant operations.

Knowledge and Abilities: Qualifications and requirements for the position:
•Minimum of a Junior standing and working toward a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Must be returning to school when internship is complete.
•Experience and/or interest in an industrial environment.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Good problem solving skills and a high degree of personal initiative.
•Excellent organization and planning skills.
•Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture.
