Don't Cancel Class

The Norman Career Services staff knows there are times you may have to cancel a class. We suggest that you contact us to design a class session for your students regarding career information. Below, you will find a list of some commonly presented workshops. However, we can tailor a session to fit the needs of the students in your class. Please provide us with two weeks notice, so we have time to design a class session that will inform your students. A staple of any job search is providing potential employers with a resume and cover letter. It is crucial for job seekers to learn how to design (and redesign) these documents to improve their chances of garnering interviews.

Interviewing

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, an interview is "a formal consultation usually to evaluate qualifications (as a prospective student or employee)." The ability to 'ace' an interview is crucial in the 21st century when people will likely make multiple career shifts.

Job Search

There is a vast difference between job searches for a position which requires a college degree versus jobs which only require a high school diploma. Many job seekers are unaware of where to look for employment related to their field of study.
