Blair Cook
Business Administration- Management & Marketing, May 2009

In many ways, choosing to attend Arkansas Tech University was one of Blair Cookthe best decisions I have ever made. I graduated from Arkansas Tech in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The summer between my junior and senior year of college, I was hired for an internship with Ryan, Inc., a tax-consulting firm in Dallas, Texas. At the end of my summer internship, they offered me a full-time job after graduation. What a comforting feeling it was to know I had a full-time position lined up! I worked for Ryan, Inc. for one year, after which I went on to work for Sissy's Log Cabin, Arkansas' largest independently owned jewelry company. I am now the Office Manager for the Jonesboro location of Sissy's Log Cabin.

I truly love my career, and I know Arkansas Tech played a major role in my success as a business professional. My professors at Arkansas Tech not only taught me the ins and outs of business operations, but also people skills, leadership qualities, and integrity. My job can be challenging at times, but my education from Arkansas Tech definitely prepared me to handle challenges and overcome obstacles.

I had the opportunity to be involved in various clubs and organizations
Sissy'sat Arkansas Tech, such as Zeta Tau Alpha, Students in Free Enterprise, the Marketing Club, and Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. Being involved in those organizations and keeping up the classwork taught me great time-management skills. I made lifelong friends at Arkansas Tech.

I know Arkansas Tech helped shape me personally and professionally, and I am proud to say I am an alumna of Arkansas Tech University.
