Fitness Classes

Purpose

The programs purpose is to provide activities that are designed to meet the physical, mental, and social needs of the participants; to stimulate student learning and personal development; and to enhance the quality of life for Arkansas Tech University students, faculty, and staff.

What we offer!

We offer group exercise classes various times throughout the fall and spring semester. All of our group exercise classes are taught by certified instructors and are held in the Hull dance studio. Pre-registration is required to attend any group exercise class!

Spring 2016 Class Schedule

The Zumba workout provides long-term fitness benefits through exhilarating, high calorie-burning fitness classes and its simple Latin and international dance moves increase the fun factor. The routines feature fast and slow rhythms which, when combined, successfully tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Music is Zumba Fitness special motivational ingredient. The score, created with specific beats and tempo changes, transitions the workout seamlessly from one toning, strengthening or cardio move to another, thus targeting every major muscle group in the body. The Zumba program borrows Latin flavor and international zest from the following dance styles: Cumbia, Samba, Salsa, Belly Dancing, Merengue, Bhangra, Mambo, Hip - Hop, Flamenco, Axe, Chachacha, Tango, Reggaeton.

Our Yoga class promotes control over the body and mind through various exercises.
