Dr. Gary F. Peters, Associate Professor of Accounting, has been appointed to the Doris M. Cook Chair in Accounting in the Walton College.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Arkansas Tech University, a Master of Science in accounting from the University of Missouri, and a doctorate in accounting from the University of Oregon.  Dr. Peters' research explores corporate governance and financial reporting quality with an emphasis on audit committees and the audit function.  He has published in such top journals as The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Advances in Accounting, and Review of Accounting and Finance.
