Meet The Firms Is A Success

The ATU Accounting Department hosted its first "Meet the Firms" event Tuesday evening at Lake Point Conference Center.  There were six employers represented; five CPA firms (Beall Barclay and Co., BKD LLP, Frost PLLC, JPMS Cox PLLC, and Rasco Winter Abston Moore & Assoc.) and the Arkansas Division of Legislative Audit.  Nineteen senior and four junior accounting majors met with the employer representative to find out more about the job opportunities available in Arkansas.  Students were presented information by each employer as they met in small groups in 10-15 minutes sessions with each firm.  The employers received bound booklets showcasing the senior' resumes.  The booklets are published annually by the accounting department.  The faculty, students, and employers felt the evening offered a valuable learning experience.
