In Memory of Jake Harrell
Jake Harrell was a part-time AFC pilot and had flying with the AFC since 2005. Jake served his country during three tours of duty in Afghanistan with the Arkansas Air National Guard 188th Fighter Wing. Jake also served his community as a full-time police officer with the North Little Rock Police Department.
Jake was a seasoned pilot with excellent aviation skills. While flying a wildfire detection route over West Arkansas, Jake's plane went down and Arkansas lost a man of great character. Jake consistently showed leadership amid the AFC and was considered a valued member. Jake loved his wife Jamie and his son Brayden. They were the reason he served and lived. He loved his church, family and his friends. He was a man of outstanding character and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
