| Professional Education Core
Requirements
The professional knowledge core is designed to
provide the teacher with graduate work in five areas of professional
knowledge: research and statistics, curriculum and instructional design,
human relations and management, individual differences, and
foundations/instructional issues/global studies.
The student must take one course from each area
with the exception of the instructional issues and foundations area, from
which two courses are required. The secondary education major electing to
write a thesis will complete SEED 6993 as one of the two courses required
for instructional issues and foundations.
