Construction ‑ Grades 5‑12:
This workshop focuses on how students build their
knowledge of functions using graphs, equations, tables, and verbal sentences.

Using
CBL's in the Math and Science Classroom ‑ Grades 7‑12:
This workshop allows teachers to investigate the CBL
through various experiments.
3.
Improving
Mathematical Reasoninq ‑ Grades K‑8:
Participants engage in multiple activities aimed at
improving student skills in reasoning. Special emphasis is placed on
activities that help prepare students for the ACTAAP tests.
4.
Balanced
Assessment in the Math Classroom ‑
Grades 3‑12:
Participants look at the Balanced Assessment Program
and participate in problem solving activities as a team. Special emphasis is
placed on grading open‑response questions during this meeting.
5. Using Graphing Calculators in the Classroom ‑ Grades 5‑12: This workshop could cover everything from beginning keystrokes to Calculus applications. This could also be adapted for use in the classroom with students.

Analysis
of Test Data ‑ Grades K‑12:
We can help make sense of all your test data.
Special emphasis is placed on ACTAAP scores.

Curriculum
Alignment ‑ Grades K‑12:
We can help you align your curriculum with state and
national frameworks as well as appropriate assessment tools.

Assessment
in Math and Science: What's the Point? ‑ Grades
K‑12:
This set of video workshops analyzes current trends
in assessment. Topics include: current trends, grading tools, systemic change
in a school district or building, and connections across the curriculum.

The
Missing Link ‑ Grades 5‑8:
This video workshop investigates the topics that
middle school students are missing in math instruction.
10.
Private
Universe Project in Mathematics ‑ Grades K‑12:
Follow a group of students as they build
mathematical power from kindergarten through high school.
11.
Spreadsheets in the Math and Science Classroom ‑
Grades 5‑12:
Investigate the uses of spreadsheets in the
classroom. Topics include: graphs, statistics, and organization.
12.
Integrating Math and Science Through Science Fair ‑
Grades 5‑12:
Investigate strategies to help students succeed in
science fairs and better understand the scientific method.
13.
Multimedia Presentations in the Classroom ‑ Grades
K‑12:
Participants will be making their own presentation,
and discussing how to use multimedia projects in the classroom.
14.
Using Rubrics to Grade Open‑Response Questions
‑ Grades K‑12:
This workshop will focus on many different rubrics
that can be used to grade openresponse questions. Special emphasis will be
placed on ACTAAP grading. Strategies for using rubrics in the classroom will
also be discussed.
15.
Ready, Set, Go with Geometry ‑ Grades K‑12:
Participants will explore various manipulatives and
activities to help promote achievement in the geometry strand of various
assessments.
16.
Active Learning with Technology ‑ Grades K‑12:
Participants will explore constructivist learning
and how it relates to technology in the classroom.
17.
Algebraic Thinking Project ‑ Grades 3‑8:
This video series looks at the construction of
algebraic reasoning.
